Biography / CVBiography and CVBorn in France, Marie’s work is inspired and influenced by the work of the 19th century “French Animaliers”, such as Jules Pierre Mene and Antoine Louis Barye. An accomplish rider herself, Marie is a show-jumper, member of the BSJA and very often competing around the south of England. Marie’s horse is a thoroughbred himself, brought back from France. Marie’s work is not about scientific measurements but it is about capturing the spirit and the essence of the horse. Marie loves the graceful and powerful lines of the thoroughbred horse, they are built for speed and spirited and are just begging to be translated in sculpture.
